My big day is here. No, no I am not getting married. It is my 23rd birthday! Getting old le, how? Sob. Anyway, first, I met my insurance agent at 2.30pm to settle the A&E claim. Left at about 3pm to CCK to deposit money and waited for BY to arrive. Off we headed to Anchorpoint, Disney Restaurant.
Reached there about 4pm. Still early for dinner. Hence, we walked around. I was delighted to shop in this Hello Kitty shop. Omg, how I wish that was my room! Everything was of Hello Kitty designs. Even luggage bag.. What caught my eye was the cute Hello Kitty faced watch with furry strap. It costs $54 which I I think the price was quite reasonable. BY asked if I want to get it. Hence, I asked the salesgirl if there was pink strap instead of blue and brown. She said the stock would be here but there the GSS discount will be over. But after examining it and realised the battery may not be replacable, I was considering whether to get it. BY told me to get it anyway and suggested to wait for the pink one as the discount was not much anyway. Therefore, I left my name and contact number down for her to contact me when the stock arrives.
Time was up for dinner. Headed to the Disney restaurant. It was quite empty so I thought maybe it was not popular. After settling down, the waiter came over, squatted down to explain the menu to us. Something new to me as this was my first time seeing waiters squatting down. BY explained that the table was quite low, hence if the waiter bent down, it would seem like he is looking down on us.
My first impression of the restaurant was more like a fast food chain. We had to place orders at the counter. Anyway, we ordered two pizzas. One beef, one hawaiian. Two seafood soups, a waffle with ice-cream and a cookies and cream shake. The soup was awesome! I like the pizzas which were shaped of Mickey Mouse head. Innovative. We were busily taking pictures of the food and the surroundings.
After eating, it was 7pm and we rushed off to take the Singapore Flyer which was booked at 8pm. Luckily, BY did not lose his way. We reached there on time. The security was so tight, no difference from Singapore custom, except no stamping of passport. I was so excited when I entered the capsule. It was a few times bigger than a cable car. It can hold about 28 people. At that time, there were less than 10 of us. It moved amazingly slow. You cannot really feel it moving. Nothing much to see actually. Mainly buildings, constructions and expressway. Saw the floating platform, a huge golf course and the sea. We began taking pictures. After about 10 minutes, novelty wore out and we just sat on the bench to enjoy the ride.
The ride lasted about half an hour. After which, we walked around the new shopping mall. Overall, the ride was a good experience but not worth the money. :D
