yesterday evening, exactly at 5pm, i received a call from CPF Board on my handphone. this lady from the other line addressed herself, "hi, is this carolyn? im jess from CPF Board." my heart skipped a bit. the next thing i heard is, "are you free to talk?" i was kinda excited. i told her i will get back to her in 5 mins. indeed, i did. she explained about this job package through the phone. i was somehow disappointed when i heard the salary. cos my expected is $1600. she moved on to say that they could not meet my expected salary and that is the highest they can offer me. she carried on telling me about the remunerations and bonuses. the next thing is, "so are you still keen on this job?" i paused for a moment. "ya, i don't mind trying it out." so, i was told to go down next wed to sign the contract.
i never expected her to call me cos i have been waiting for 2 weeks and i have already given up. however, was pretty glad that im being shortlisted. cos im so bored (i learnt nothing there!) of my current job that i cant wait to leave! anw just hope that i will be happy over there. though i have to start from scratch making new colleagues, settling down in a new environment. wish me luck!!! :)
