Went on Kukup trip on 15/03. Woke at 6am. Met the rest at 7.40am at Kranji Mrt. Took bus 170 and headed down to woodlands custom to take the coach. We waited for more than half an hour for the coach. There was a minor jam on the road. Soon, we got off the coach and headed to the custom for passport check. First time tried the RFID (using finger print to access our identities). Technology is really amazing. This system is so much efficient. But I feel there should be officers standing around to help those who have difficulty in using the system.

Had our breakfast at a coffee shop. 3 minutes egg. Yum. There was some miscommunication among us and the malay guy. We misheard the chinese tea for tiga ringgit. It was tiga puluh sen instead. Another chinese guy then came to our aid. Lol..

After breakfast, headed back to the coach and continued our journey. We reached at about 12 plus. It was an eye opener to see the kind of houses there. It was built with wood and above the muddy sand. Litter were seen all around. Their houses were huge and spacious. Wide enough to cycle around. When we entered our resort, immediately went to select our room. We chose the one upstairs. There were 3 double-deck beds, more than enough for the 6 of us.

After settling everything, we went for our lunch. It was a huge feast. There were durians too. Quite shocked when I saw them throwing the scraps of food down onto the shore. Even durian shells! Ate till bloated. After lunch, we sang KTV. Quite a nice and comfy place. There were about 8 bedrooms, 5 toilets, 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms. Cool!

Slept at about 2 plus and woke about 7 plus. Did not have a good sleep. Constantly woke from time to time. After breakfast, we took the boat ride. Nothing interesting to see there except for a swimming dog.

We left about 2pm. There was a huge downpour. We were all partially wet when we got onto the coach. The most infuriating thing was that when we got on the coach, the rain stopped. What the... Was so tired that I slept throughout the whole journey.

Went to Vivo today. Dined at Aji By Hanabi. That was our 3rd time there for the $42++ Japanese Buffet. Nice food but costly. After we ate our fills, went over to Pedro to get his leather shoes.

At the restaurant, we played a fool on the food. The Japanese Yam sucks. I ate one and left the other one untouched. Hence, we decorated it with leftover crispy flour for the hair, wasabi for the eyes and mouth and vegetable for the hat. Lol.. See below:

Went to explore Terminal 3 (T3) the day before (8/03/08). It was incredibly spacious but not crowded. Actually we wanted to eat Genki Sushi, but was disappointed to see the layout. It sells only quick bites. No proper meals nor seats. Our second choice was Popeye Chicken & Biscuits but it was crowded and the queue seemed stagnant. Hence, we went to Sakae Teppanyaki (our last resort). I ordered the Bento set and green tea latte with ice cream while BY had carbonara and mocha chips vanilla ice cream.

After dinner, we walked around. Took the skytrain to Terminal 2. There were more food choices. Sakae Sushi, Fish & Co.! We could have eaten either one! Changi Airport is so boring. Thought the new mall in T3 will be like Vivo with many shops. Oh well...

Anw, I took one photo at T3. Look at it, what does it remind you of? Lol..

What a spine-chilling incident last night! It was the first time an unwelcoming guest visited our house! A rat-ta-to-uile! When mum called me around 10pm (I was on my way back), I could hear her frightening voice. It was still ringing in my head. "Faster come back, a rat enters our house!" I got a shock, but did not want to sound panicky to alarm my mum further. I was quite calm surprisingly.

On hearing that, BY voluntarily accompanied me up and helped in the rat search. We listened intently to any grinding noise, if any. We even searched almost every corner where a rat could have hidden. But, to no avail. :( We gave up, listing assumption that it could have escaped. I was so frightened that I did not dare entered my room nor the bathroom.

About 1 plus, while I was playing Niwawa online, I heard noises. Turning my head to the left, I saw a big, fat, grey rat (the size of twice my palm) scampering about the old newspapers! Calling out, my dad quickly went to catch it. In just a blink of an eye, it disappeared again! My fault that I did not keep track of where it had run to. Luckily, the dustbin in the kitchen gave the rat away. The basket had tumbled over. High chance the rat would be in the kitchen. Mum saw something long and said it looked like the rat's tail. I went forward to take a closer look. Indeed it was.

Dad went to shake the things around the mouse and it scampered across the living room again! My mum and I shrieked while running away as if a mad dog was chasing us. Dad was so funny that he kept repeating, "Don't be afraid!" Dad continued to chase it out of its hiding place. The rat scampered across the living room and out of the house! Phew, finally! We all heaved a deep sigh of relief. Dad went out to take a look, worried that the rat could have entered our neighbour's house as their door was still wide open. But, too late.

I was frightened out of my wits! Luckily, the rat reappeared and it caught my attention. If not, we would not be able to sleep in peace! Imagine the rat crawling onto our bodies while we are asleep! Eee, yucks! Dad was still able to joke about it. He said that this year is the year of the Rat so it came to visit us. -_-

Went to lead a healthy lifestyle again. Hee. Supposedly, our plan was to run in Bukit Gombak stadium but it was closed for track renovation. Gee. Hence, we had to run along the pavement instead. What a big round. Yet, I did not pause to rest. I was determined to complete the round. There was even a steep slope at this factory area. I was happy I did not pause to walk up the slope. Instead, I ran up. When we were almost completing the round, my side of my right feet hurt. However, I did not want to stop. Phew!

After a refreshing shower, I could feel the strain on my thighs already. Quite shiok! Lol.. Always feel good to exercise, be it swimming or running or going to the gym. ; )
