My Christmas Eve was spent on cruise, Leisure World. Not my first time but it had been a long time since I last went there. Gambling was not for me nor him. We played a few games of arcade, KTV and enjoyed the sea breeze at the deck. The KTV was enjoyable and worth the money. Only charged us for the drinks with no limited time of singing. So we ordered the cheapest drink - 2 bottles of mineral water ($1 each) and a glass of tonic water ($3). We sang from 3.30-5pm. Unfortunately 5pm is their closing time till 7pm. It was our first time singing in the open hall. Was nervous initially but got used to it after the first song - Eternal Flame. There was only an uncle challenging with us. Thankfully, no audience besides him, the waiter and DJs.
There were alot of food selections on board ship but not very well-cooked. We had difficulty looking for seats during dinner time. It was amazingly packed with diners. After about 15 minutes or so, we finally found an empty two-seaters. I was pretty annoyed at the sight where those diners were snatching and pushing one another for the prawns. When a new batch of cooked prawns were being placed down, people were seen snatching for it. I only managed to get four. I do not understand why they had to retort to that. It was a really 'Kiasu' sight. Like going after some cheap goods at a Great Singapore Sale. I really could not stand it. I should have snapped a photo of it.
Anyway it was nice going there again after about more than 8 years. : )

20/12/07, he arrived at my place at noon and off for his dental appointment at Bukit Gombak. I was with him throughout the whole process. Was observing how the dentist worked with his instruments. Pretty interesting. So, the dentist did a temporary crowning for him. $500 for a tooth, oh man! Must really take care of our teeth.
Afterwhich, went to Party World KTV at Clementi the day before. We sang from 3-7 pm. First time singing at Party World. Sound system as good as KBox. Not smoky as compared to KBox. Sang quite a number of new songs. Phased out all the old songs. Haha. Had been trying to search for one song which I like, but to no avail. : (
Dinner was Ajisen at IMM. Poor him got to eat with one side of the teeth. That increased his eating time by half. Abstain from fast food, western food and chocolates, ya? Haha.
I had a swollen right eye since Tuesday. That left me with no choice but to wear glasses to work. It could not be seen from outside, but I could feel it swelling inside. Had disinfected it with Optrex, bought earlier on at Guardian. Hopefully, it will recover soon. Do not want another serious eye infection which happened to me in year 2002. That was scary. Still remembered that time my eye hurt and tear like hell. It only recovered after visiting the Eye Centre.

18/12/07. A special day. Our 5th Anniversary. Went to Build-A-Bear shop at Vivo in the earlier part of the day. Supposed to make a soft toy. But somehow there was not any soft toy we came eye to eye with. I like the Hello Kitty but it is white which is quite impractical. Putting it in the car will collect dust. So well, I tried to focus my eyes on other soft toys like Trekkin Turtle and Rudolf. He finds the former ugly because of the shell, the latter more suitable for Christmas period only. Agreeable on that. Next, the Bunny Big Ears. I do not find it cute and in addition to the furry texture, I have to reject it. I am allergic to furry stuff. Hence, only those not so furry ones are considerable.
We hung around the shop for quite some time. He asked the sales assistant if they will have any new designs the following year. I was thrilled to hear that a brown Hello Kitty will be imported in year 2008! Woo-hoo. Heaved a sign of relief. Our last and only hope. He was utterly disappointed, leaving the shop empty-handed. Me, looking on the bright side gave my two-cents worth. It helped. He felt better minutes later. Hopefully the brown Hello Kitty can wait for us to purchase it home and not while stocks last till after 18/12/08.
Our next destination was to E-zone. It was a fun moment. A total of $10 was spent playing a number of games. After the moment of fun, it was time to head to Mount Faber for dinner! He speculated he may lose his way. But no. Reached Jewel Box at 6.10 pm. Since it was still early, I suggested taking another round. This time round, he almost lost his way. Thankfully we still managed to make it back on time. The curvy road bend ride was fun. He claimed it was like riding in the Daytona in arcade. Lol. He left the car for valet parking, $5 per car.
Arrived at the receptionist. I announced my name and we were led to follow the brightly-lit stairs up to Altivo Bar. The scenic view was breathtaking. It would be perfect if not for those on-going constructions. Menu was served to us after immediate seating. He decided within 3 minutes. I supposed he was really hungry. I was still taking my own sweet time, admiring and feeling the texture of the nicely done menu, deciding what to eat. After about 5 minutes or so, the waiter came the second time to ask for our food orders. I had no choice but to start ordering. My orders: a soup of the day (mushroom soup), pan-fried salmon in pistachio nut crust, tiramisu with berries concoction and a hot Latte with rum. His orders: a soup of the day, smoked chicken spaghetti, brownie with single scoop ice-cream and Libertine. First time I tried hot coffee with alcohol. Taste good though. Everything was great except for my dessert. I could not believe tiramisu with no alcohol in it at all. Worse, alcohol was substituted with berries jam. Hmm. They should call it mousse instead. I have to finish it cos every single scoop costs $1. A total of 10 scoops, so calculate the price. : )
8 pm sharp. The snow show began! Haha, I stepped forward to reach for the snow. Guess what? It is foam! A foam party! Lol. It looked pretty cool from far, though. It 'snowed' for about 10 minutes. Strangely, the foam caused our noses to itch. I was rubbing my nose for the remaining night. Gee. At 9 pm, it 'snowed' again. I think the novelty wore out fast. I was not fascinated by it anymore. Settled the bill of $152 (wow!) and headed for our complimentary cable car ride. : )
A wonderful day. No words could describe my feelings for that day! : )

Went 'prawning' the day before at Farmart. Interesting. My second time there. Sadly, we only managed to get 5 prawns in all, including 1 free from the owner. Strangely, the man just walked over and placed something into our net. We were surprised to see an extra prawn inside. Haha. I was not lucky that day. The first time I was there, I caught 7 prawns, just alone. Disappointing. Anyway, we had fun. I was extremely hungry at the second hour. After the third hour was already 8.25 pm. We cleared up and went for dinner. Luckily I did not suffer gastric attack.
Dinner consisted of tom yam soup, oyster omelette and cereal prawn. Simple but a great meal! Two bloated stomachs could be seen. During the dinner, there was an unexpected guest - a big fat cat. I claimed it looked like 'Garfield'. Haha, It walked over and stood still right beside me. It freaked me out with its green eyes staring at me. I was so afraid it would jump onto the table. My legs were raised onto BY's lap as I feared the cat would brush against my legs anytime. Paranoid. Gee. Saw a mouse scampering at the next table too. How unhygienic. Gee.
Overall kinda enjoyable. : )

This is hilarious! Omg.. This is taken from the cover sheet of a newly bought ironing board. Assumingly, it should be from China. Their English cannot make it. But thanks to them, it brings about another joke of the day. Haha.

Update a little of my previous day. Went BBDC circuit for the first time. The funny thing was I did not know I was practising the crank course till I asked my instructor much later on after few tries of that. He did not introduce the course to me, that is just him. Haha. I succeeded at the first trial upon his guidance, of course. I managed to finish trying out every stations, directional change, parallel parking, perpendicular parking, S-course and slope. I enjoyed the slope most, though I was extremely nervous. The slope is unbelievably steep compared to the one I always practised on the actual road. But I still did it without stalling of engine. Happy! : )
I was quite unhappy about the cost of just entering the circuit for practically $32 an hour. Had to pay $68 for just an hour of circuit and half hour on road. I do not know if I really need to enter circuit for 7 times. If I feel I do not really need to, I think I will cut down on it. Well, just praying hard that I can pass my practical driving (18/2/08) on the first attempt! Really worrying. Haiz.. Anyway was glad when Mr Ng told me it was quite a good achievement that day as it was only my first time in the circuit. : )

29/11 went Vivo for the above movie - Doraemon. It was superb! Hilarious at some parts, especially at the part where Doraemon gave that "love and concern" look and the ferocious dinosaur which turned into a harmless one . LOL. Gave it a rating of 9/10. : )
After the movie was already 1 plus. Thankfully, I had my junior mushroom swiss burger in the theatre which BY got it for me. If not, I may have gastric attack. He sent me to work at his fastest speed. Reached Yishun at about 2.15pm. Still have time for some bites. Went to hawker to have his Kway Chap and Yam Paste for me. Reached the centre at bout 2.45pm. Late. : p
