My Saturday was spent swimming in the evening. Lost count of how many laps I swam. The pool was extremely crowded. Not a surprise to me as it was a weekend. Fortunately, my mood was not ruined by the crowd. My stamina did not deteriorate, thankfully. However, I am still dissatisfied with my speed. Perhaps my expectation is too high? I don't know. I have been trying hard to improve on my speed.
After which went to Lot 1, Delifrance, for dinner. I ordered beef with mashed potatoes. Nice! BY had seafood baked rice. He did not like it, I think. I ate some of his rice as mine was not enough to fill my stomach. : ) Honestly, the baked rice was not up to my standard. It tasted like the Chinese style, Mui Fan. After we had our fills, we walked around Lot 1. Went to 'More Than Words' and BY bought a cute cd pocket for his car and a pair of slippers. As for me, I left the place empty-handed though tempted to buy the cute, fluffy disney pencil case. Was looking for mobile accessory but none caught my eyes.
After walking around, we left for Jurong Hill. A nice place which BY had been bugging me to go which I declined. Finally went there today. Indeed, the slopes up were steep, narrow and curvy. There was a tall, look-alike Sentosa Tower. We walked up to the top. The cool, night breeze almost froze me. So nice of BY to provide me with unconditional warmth. Next, we went to the 'prawning' area. What a happening sight! A hokkien KTV was going on stage, with people sitting at their tables enjoying their steamboat dinner, drinking and admiring the singers' voices. Seeing these people 'prawning' made me recall the day when I was 'prawning' with the students. Still remembering the 7 prawns I fished. Sadly, I did not have a chance to taste them as my partner wanted the prawns, so i handed all to the cute boy. In case you are wondering, he is only 4 years old!
A nice, quiet place indeed. I rank that place 4 out of 5 stars! : ) I enjoyed my night. Especially the moment when I was piggybacked across a grass patch to the parking lot. Fearful of hidden cockroaches or mice in the grass patch, I jokingly mentioned I wanted to be piggybacked. And he did. Hee..
Another Saturday is over so soon. Looking forward to the next Saturday!
